Launch Strategy

The sneakers launch marked a major step in expanding Lone Cone’s product line beyond rain boots and into year-round adventure gear. I led the creative direction from early concept through launch, ensuring every element, from product design and packaging to campaign and content, worked together to tell a cohesive brand story.

My goal was to create a product that embodied Lone Cone’s mission of making outdoor play easy and fun for every family. I guided the creative team through design reviews, photo direction, and marketing rollout, aligning each deliverable to the same playful, family-first tone. The final launch successfully introduced Lone Cone into a new category, supported by coordinated creative across product, packaging, social, and Amazon.

Product Development

Product Development

I worked closely with our founder, product development lead, and manufacturing partners to bring the sneakers line from concept to production. My role included designing mockups and selecting patterns from Lone Cone’s best-selling designs to create distinct boy, girl, and gender-neutral styles that aligned with the brand’s adventurous identity.

I worked to add kid-friendly details like easy-on pull tabs and “left” and “right” markings in the soles were added to help kids gain independence while making the shoes easy for parents to trust. I partnered with the supplier to refine materials, colorways, and construction details, ensuring each pair balanced durability, comfort, and affordability.

The result was a thoughtfully developed product line designed for real play, built to last, and unmistakably Lone Cone.

Packaging Design

Packaging Design

The packaging system for the Lone Cone sneakers launch was designed to reflect the brand’s playful spirit and commitment to doing good for the Earth when possible. I developed a layered kraft hangtag that balanced sustainability with storytelling, using recycled materials and earthy textures to ground the brand’s adventurous identity.

Each layer of the hangtag communicated a different message. From product features and the all-season guarantee to a personal note from the founder and a call to join the Lone Cone community. This multi-panel approach allowed the brand to share key values and functionality without cluttering the design.

I worked closely with our supplier to manage color matching, layering, and print accuracy, ensuring white ink on kraft printed cleanly and legibly. I also created a matching kraft shoebox mockup to visualize the full unboxing experience, rounding out the design system even though the box was not included in the initial launch to reduce shipping costs.

I led and executed an in-studio product photoshoot for the Lone Cone sneakers line, capturing clean, high-quality imagery that highlighted color accuracy, material texture, and product construction. Each shot was styled and lit to emphasize the sneakers’ durability and playful design details while maintaining visual consistency across the full collection.

After shooting, I handled all editing and retouching to ensure the final images met brand standards for clarity and tone. These photos became the foundation for e-commerce listings, packaging, and marketing assets, providing a polished, cohesive look that supported the brand’s launch across digital channels.
